About Whitfield Funeral Homes and Crematory
Whitfield Funeral Homes and Crematory was founded in 1971 by J. Larry Whitfield and the late Swenson Perkins to serve Habersham and Banks counties. Now more than 50 years later, the business remains family-owned with Larry Whitfield, his wife Evie, and their son John continuing operations alongside funeral director Everett J. Huffman.
The funeral home operates two locations in the Cornelia area and maintains an on-site crematory. The business also owns Yonah Memorial Gardens cemetery and operates The Family Connection Center, a fellowship hall available for family gatherings. Services include tribute videos, keepsakes, and live streaming for remote attendees, as well as assistance with veteran burial benefits.
