Walker Mortuary was established in 1961 when Robert M. Walker purchased the Coalville facility, expanding in 1967 with a second location in Morgan. The business has remained family-owned through three generations, currently operated by Landon and Timorie Walker, who purchased the mortuary in 2019.
Landon Walker graduated from mortuary school in Mesa, Arizona in 2009, receiving the Mu Sigma Alpha award given to the top 1 percent of his class. He is a licensed funeral director who previously served a mission in Lima, Peru. His father Mark Walker, a 1982 graduate of Cypress College of Mortuary Science, continues to work alongside him in the family business.
The mortuary maintains facilities in both Morgan and Coalville, serving families throughout Summit County and northern Utah's mountain valley communities. Both locations operate under unified family ownership while maintaining the accessibility of small-town funeral service.
