Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Centers traces its history to 1840, when Seth G. Tufts established an undertaking and carriage shop in Maineville, making it one of the oldest family-owned funeral homes in the nation. The business moved to Loveland in the early 1900s under Oscar B. Tufts, and in 1920 Lawrence S. Tufts purchased the Riverside Drive property that remains the main location today. The Blanchester location is now operated by Robert and Marilyn Schildmeyer along with their sons, Lawrence T. and Terry S. Schildmeyer, continuing the family tradition into multiple generations.
The funeral home serves families throughout Clinton County and surrounding areas including Loveland, Goshen Township, and communities extending to the Cincinnati metro area. In addition to the Blanchester facility, the family operates locations in Loveland and Goshen Township to provide convenient access across the region.
