Richard and Andrea Traunero purchased the business in 1997, with Richard representing the fourth generation of the Pahl family tradition. The funeral home operates from the historic J.M. Naylor residence at 214 S. Monroe Street, purchased by George Pahl in 1951.
The business has changed hands three times over its 125-year history: from the Pahl family to Louis and Catherine Nemeth in 1955, then to Paul and Sally Hannay in 1975, and finally to the Trauneros in 1997. The facility includes an on-site crematory and offers cemetery markers and monuments in addition to funeral and cremation services.
