About Tom And Farus Funeral Home
Steve Farus purchased the funeral home in January 1985 and has operated it alongside his son Matt Farus. Steve graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1979 and is a Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. The business has served Muskingum County since 1946.
Steve serves as Assistant Chief of the Duncan Falls Volunteer Fire Department and is clerk of the Duncan Falls Cemetery Association. He is a past President of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association District 13 and was honored with the Sertoma Service to Mankind award by the Zanesville Sertoma Club.
The funeral home operates two locations: one in Duncan Falls and another in New Concord. Staff members are available around the clock to assist families in Cumberland and throughout the surrounding area.
