About Thompson
Rev. Donald H. Jordan Sr. opened Thompson, Hall & Jordan Funeral Home in Middletown in 1953, making it one of the oldest Black funeral homes in the Cincinnati area. The funeral home is now headquartered at the Rev. Donald H. Jordan Sr. Memorial Chapel on Winton Road in Forest Park, with managing funeral director Jonathan Douthitt leading a staff with over half a century of combined experience.
Since 2018, Thompson, Hall & Jordan has been affiliated with the Spring Grove Family of Companies, expanding access to Spring Grove Cemetery and Oak Hill Cemetery for burial services. The funeral home provides traditional burial, cremation, and repast facilities where families can gather for meals and remembrance after services. Veterans receive specialized honors, and the staff works to create individualized services for every family.
