Terry Summers founded Summers Funeral Home in Washington Court House in spring 1991. Terry and his wife Terri have celebrated 40 years of marriage and raised two daughters in the community: Vanessa, a licensed funeral director and graduate of The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science who also holds RN and BSN credentials from Springfield School of Nursing and Urbana University, and Mendi, who earned a degree in elementary education from Wilmington College.
The funeral home serves families throughout Fayette County with both traditional funeral services and cremation options. Terry, a Washington Court House native, built the business on personal community ties and decades of relationships in the area. The family has grown to include son-in-law Matthew and grandchildren Grant Thomas, Tripp Walker, and Ellison "Ellie" Grace Talkington, continuing the family's commitment to the community.
