Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home — Funeral Home in Burkeville, TX

Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home traces its origins to 1928, when W.O. Stringer founded Stringer Funeral Home in Jasper. W.O., who also served as Jasper County Judge for many years, later sold the business to his nephew J.O. Stringer, who had previously operated the funeral home in Newton.

In 1979, Ky Griffin was named manager of the funeral homes in both Jasper and Burkeville. He became an owner in 1982 and was named Vice President and General Manager, later serving as CEO and President. A Woodville native, Ky opened a third location in Woodville in 1991 to serve Tyler County families.

Today, Stringer & Griffin Funeral Homes operate three locations serving Newton, Jasper, and Tyler counties in Southeast Texas. The family-owned business maintains chapels in Burkeville, Jasper, and Woodville, continuing traditions established over nearly a century of service to the region.
