Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home traces its roots to 1928, when W.O. Stringer founded Stringer Funeral Home in Jasper. W.O., affectionately known as "Crip," also served as Jasper County Judge for many years before selling the business to his nephew, J.O. Stringer, who had previously operated a funeral home in Newton.
In 1979, Ky Griffin was named manager of the Jasper and Burkeville locations, becoming an owner and Vice President in 1982 and later CEO and President. A Woodville native, Ky opened the Woodville branch in 1991 to serve Tyler County families.
The funeral home operates three locations across Southeast Texas, with chapels in Jasper, Woodville, and Burkeville. The business offers dedicated veteran services with guidance on benefits and honors available to military families.
