About Skinner Funeral Home
Skinner Funeral Home has served Eaton Rapids and the Lansing area since January 1952, when Max and Connie Skinner opened the business in a residence on River Street. The family purchased the adjoining Milbourne home in 1963, converting the original building entirely to funeral home use, and added a large chapel connecting the two structures in 1968.
The Skinner family has operated the funeral home across three generations. Max and Connie's son Larry, a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, joined his father in the business after graduating in 1980 and purchased the funeral home with his wife Jill in 1983, with Max and Connie remaining active in operations.
The funeral home continues to serve families in Eaton Rapids, Lansing, Charlotte, Mason, and surrounding Eaton and Ingham County communities, offering digital obituary pages where families and friends can share photos and memories.
