About Shumaker Funeral Home
Shumaker Funeral Home operates two locations in Jefferson County, with the Punxsutawney facility opening in the summer of 2011 and a second chapel in Big Run. The funeral home offers in-home arrangement conferences, allowing families to plan services in the privacy of their own residence, at their church, or at either funeral home location.
Both locations provide traditional funeral services with visitation and chapel ceremonies, graveside services, and cremation options ranging from simple cremation to full-service cremation with visitation and funeral ceremonies. The funeral home serves families throughout the Punxsutawney area and surrounding Jefferson County communities including Big Run, Dayton, and Hawthorn.
