About Shackelford Funeral Directors
Shackelford Funeral Directors traces its roots to 1926, when R. E. Shackelford opened what became a multi-generational family operation now serving communities across West Tennessee and South-Central Tennessee. The Waynesboro location is one of multiple Shackelford facilities in the region, extending the family's presence into Wayne County.
In 2011, the Shackelford family expanded into pet aftercare with Shackelford Pet Services, offering cremation and private burial options for pet owners. The firm also operates several cemeteries alongside its funeral home locations, providing families with burial property options managed by the same organization handling services.
