About Shackelford Funeral Directors
Shackelford Funeral Directors traces its roots to 1926, when R. E. Shackelford opened what became a multi-generational family business now serving families across West Tennessee. The Selmer location is one of seven Shackelford funeral homes operating in McNairy, Hardeman, Chester, Henderson, and Wayne counties.
In 2011, the Shackelford family expanded into pet aftercare services, offering cremation and private burial options for pet owners. The funeral home provides pre-planning programs and maintains cemeteries in addition to traditional funeral and cremation services for families in Selmer, Michie, Corinth, and surrounding McNairy County communities.
