Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home was founded in 1913 by Charles P. Rogers, Sr., who initially operated the business from the Lee Furniture Company building on Chatham Street and also ran an ambulance service to meet community needs. After the founder's death in 1947, his son Charles P. "Charlie" Rogers, Jr. led the business until 1972, when longtime employee William T. "Tommy" Pickard acquired ownership.
Today, the funeral home is owned by W.T. "William" Pickard, Jr., representing the fourth generation of ownership in this privately held family business. With over 100 years of experience serving Sanford and Lee County, Rogers-Pickard has operated from four different locations throughout its history while maintaining its commitment to family ownership and community service.
