Ritchay Funeral Home is a third-generation family business serving Wisconsin Rapids and Wood County. Michael J. Ritchay joined his father John Ritchay Sr. and brother in the family funeral home in 1985 after graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. His son Joseph A. Ritchay, a Lincoln High School and UW-Stevens Point graduate, also attended Worsham College and now serves as a licensed funeral director alongside his father.
Michael serves on the finance committee for Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church and has been active in Wisconsin Rapids youth sports and Lincoln High School athletics. Joseph married Hallie, a Vesper native, in 2017. The Ritchay family has deep roots in the Wisconsin Rapids community, with Michael being an Assumption High School graduate inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2004.
