Rindt Erdman Funeral Home — Funeral Home in Arkansas City, KS

Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory traces its roots to 1939, when Jesse and Allie Rindt opened the Jesse Rindt Mortuary at 5th Avenue and South First Street. The business remained in the Rindt family when Fred and Donna Rindt purchased it in 1962, relocating to a new facility at 100 East Kansas Avenue in 1964. In 1970, the firm merged with Erdman-Oldroyd Funeral Home, and by 1979 both operations consolidated at the Kansas Avenue location under the Rindt-Erdman name.

Harold Lake, a long-time employee, became co-owner and president in 1982, continuing the tradition of local ownership alongside Donna Rindt for two decades. Brandon Welch acquired the funeral home in 2008, maintaining its locally owned and operated status in Arkansas City.

The facility includes an on-site crematory, allowing the funeral home to handle cremation services directly rather than transferring remains to a third-party provider.
