About Reger Funeral Home
Reger Funeral Home was founded in 1903 by Henry Reger in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and relocated to Huntington, West Virginia in 1923. The funeral home moved to its current Adams Avenue location in 1924, where it has operated for over 100 years under five generations of the Reger family.
The facility features a 250-seat chapel built in 1947. James H. Reger became a licensed funeral director in 1927 as the second generation, followed by George E. Reger in 1957, who later served as President of the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association in 1986. The funeral home continues as a family-owned and operated business serving Huntington, Ceredo, and the broader Tri-State region.
