About Porter Funeral Home
Al Porter established Porter Funeral Home in 1995 after working in the funeral industry in Winston County since 1978. The facility was created by remodeling a former medical clinic in downtown Louisville and features 10,000 square feet of space available for visitation and funeral services.
Al Porter holds a B.S. degree from Mississippi State University and a Mortuary Science degree from East Mississippi Community College, and is licensed in both funeral service and embalming. The funeral home is locally owned and operated by Al and his wife Rhonda, the former Rhonda Bookout, and they have three daughters together.
Porter Funeral Home offers both traditional burial and cremation services, with options ranging from full funeral services to private memorials. The funeral home provides veterans services to honor those who have served in the military.
