Ponders Funeral Home was established in northwest Georgia in 1992 by Stonewall Ponders, a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and member of the Pi Sigma Eta National Morticians Fraternity. The business opened its doors in Dalton on July 15, 1992, and has since expanded to include locations in Calhoun, Fairmount, and Chattanooga.
