Chatmon earned his Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2017 and received his Louisiana Funeral Director's License in 2021 after completing his apprenticeship at Richardson Funeral Home in Winnsboro under Burnell Richardson.
Before opening Peaceful Rest, Chatmon served at Tennant Funeral Home in Rayville from 2015 to 2019. The funeral home serves families throughout Richland Parish and surrounding communities including Delhi, Monroe, West Monroe, and Winnsboro.
