The property was originally transferred from Johann and Elizabeth Feltmann to the school district in 1874, and the building later became the funeral home serving the Norwood Young America community.
Funeral Director Derek joined the McBride staff in 2001 after earning his degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota. A Lester Prairie native and graduate of Lester Prairie School, Derek lives in Lester Prairie with his wife Jenny and their three sons, and serves as a coach for the Lester Prairie Football team.
The funeral home received the National Funeral Directors Association Best of the Best Award. Paul-McBride serves families in Norwood Young America, Belle Plaine, Silver Lake, and surrounding Carver County communities.
