Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations — Funeral Home in Belle Vernon, PA

The building that houses Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations was constructed in the early 1900s as a private residence. Harold R. Toner established the funeral home at this 626 Broad Avenue location in Belle Vernon on April 5, 1937. Gerald R. Essey purchased the business in 1973, and upon his passing in 1975, Leonard J. and Mary Joyce Parzynski acquired the property, moving in on April 15, 1976.

The facility has expanded significantly since the Parzynski family took ownership. In 1984, two visitation chapels were enlarged and four stained glass dogwood tree windows were installed to replace trees removed during construction. A 1994 expansion added new office space and a third chapel featuring three stained glass windows that replicate the original window on the stair landing. A waterfall and pond were added to the front grounds in 1995, and a dedicated selection room was built in 1996.

The funeral home operates two locations, with the second facility in Perryopolis. Three generations of the Parzynski family have been involved in serving families throughout Fayette County and surrounding communities including Beallsville, Bentleyville, California, and Brownsville.
