Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service was founded in 1867 by Henry Turnock, making it one of the oldest continuously operating funeral homes in Oneida County. The business has remained family-owned through multiple generations, passing from Matthew Turnock to his son Henry M. Turnock, then to Emrys Owens and his son Richard E. Owens. Thomas L. Pavlot joined in 1970 and purchased the firm in 1988, and his daughter Delvena Pavlot Rogers, a licensed funeral director, joined the business in 1997.
The funeral home features spacious rooms for services, separate lounges for families and children, and a private arrangements office with a full casket showroom. Burial vaults, urns, and memorial merchandise are displayed on-site. The facility is handicap accessible with an entrance off the parking lot, and a dedicated parking area is available in the back for families attending services.
