Oliver Funeral Home was established in January 2007 when John Oliver purchased the Centralia and Sturgeon funeral home locations from Bill and Mary Ann Meador. Between 2008 and 2012, the Centralia facility underwent extensive remodeling including new roofing, carpeting, concrete work, and sound systems, culminating in a rededication ceremony.
The funeral home features a dedicated York Room that displays caskets, vaults, and urns for family selection. In October 2012, a new parking area was added to the Centralia location to better accommodate visiting families. Oliver Funeral Home also operates a second location in Sturgeon to serve families throughout Boone County.
