Monee Funeral Home opened on March 10, 2007, as part of the Kerr-Parzygnot family of funeral homes, whose tradition of service in the south suburban Chicago area dates back to the founding of the W. E. Kerr funeral home in 1891. The funeral home was built to fulfill the vision of Richard Bowen, a cousin of owners Joe and John Parzygnot, who passed away just before construction began.
The Kerr-Parzygnot organization operates six funeral home locations throughout the south suburbs. The staff serves families of many faiths and customs, offering traditional funeral services, cremation, and memorial services.
