Mohnke Funeral Home has served Big Rapids since 1972. In November 2012, Melissa Janowicz and her husband Chad purchased what was then Crittenden Hansen Funeral Home, rebranding it as part of Janowicz Family Funeral Home.
Melissa L. Janowicz serves as president and licensed funeral director. The funeral home's team includes Funeral Director Michael Mohnke, Office Manager Shari Blades, and Apprentice Funeral Director Margo Sisco. Staff members Paula Stevens and Tiffany Sheehan handle reception duties, while the immediate response team includes Frank Stevens, Mo Simon, Ethan McNeal, Mark Klumpp, Joe Carinduff, Bob Beers, and John Sparks.
