Magnolia Funeral Home was opened in September 1999 by Coy and Deanna Gremillion. Coy Gremillion is a graduate of Menard High School and the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, while Deanna Semons Gremillion completed her funeral director internship under the supervision of A.W. "Nicky" Middleton and retired embalmer Jamie Lusk, who also supervised Coy in obtaining his embalmer's license in December 2008.
In 2005, the funeral home opened Alexandria Crematory, which was Central Louisiana's first crematory. The crematory is owned and operated by the funeral home and serves other funeral homes throughout the region, cremating only human remains.
The funeral home has served families throughout Rapides Parish and the surrounding Central Louisiana communities since 1999, offering both traditional funeral services and cremation options.
