The Schnepp name was retained when Paul Lux acquired the funeral home, honoring its prior service to the community. Paul Lux also purchased locations in Carson City, Crystal, Breckenridge, and St. Louis during a 30-year expansion period.
In 2013, Nicholas and Laura Lux purchased the family business from Paul, continuing third-generation ownership. The Lux organization's roots trace to 1937 when it began as Moody Funeral Home in Alma. Agnes Moody became a licensed funeral director and operated the business herself after her husband's death in 1955, establishing a legacy of family ownership that continues today.
