Law-Jones Funeral Home traces its roots to 1865 when George Haas opened a funeral home in nearby Savanna. The business changed hands through Robert Fuller in 1905 and Donald Hunter from 1952 to 1962 before being purchased by Melvin and Jean Jones. In 1965, the Law Funeral Home owned by Nan Law and her son Si Law merged with the Hunter-Jones Funeral Home to form Law-Jones Funeral Home, marking the first such merger of two funeral homes in Illinois.

The funeral home is currently led by Matthew Jones and serves families across Carroll County and into Iowa. The business expanded to Mount Carroll while maintaining its historic Savanna location, offering both traditional funeral services and cremation options with personalized memorial arrangements and preplanning programs available.
