The original structure housing Lange Funeral Home was built in 1909 by R.B. Creasy as one of the finer family residences in Ballinger. E.E. King purchased the home in 1933 and converted it into a funeral home, operating as King-Holt Funeral Home before becoming Newby-Davis Funeral Home in 1944 under C.A. Davis and G.E. Newby.
The business changed hands again in 1976 when Billy J. Seale purchased it and recruited Darrell Rains to operate the facility, renaming it Rains-Seale Funeral Home. Mr. Rains became sole owner in 1984, and the funeral home was later purchased by long-time employee Larry Lange and his wife, adopting its current name.
The funeral home offers traditional burial and cremation services with options for viewing, visitation, memorial services, and evening or weekend arrangements. Staff members work with families to personalize services and coordinate final resting place selections in the Runnels County area.
