About Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home
The funeral home building in Rogersville dates to C.F. Wood's original furniture and undertaking business, sold to Ralph Scott and James Adamson in 1925. Mrs. Scott became sole owner in 1948 before selling to Robert and Hulda Jean Lantz in 1956, who operated it as Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home until 1985. Carl "Gene" Rush, a Greene County native and 1975 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, purchased the business that year and ran it for decades under the Rush Funeral Home name.
Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. continues that nearly century-long lineage, offering burial and cremation services to families in Rogersville and nearby Waynesburg, Claysville, Carmichaels, and Brownsville in Greene County. Services include traditional funerals, cremation with memorial options, tribute videos, keepsakes, live-streaming for distant family, and grief support resources.
