Joyners Funeral Home & Crematory — Funeral Home in Wilson, NC

Joyner's Funeral Home has been serving families since the 1920s, when Jesse James Amerson and his partners began Wilson Furniture Store, which also directed funeral services. Joseph Clinton Joyner and his wife Catherine Amerson Joyner purchased the business in 1933, renamed it Joyner's Funeral Home, and moved it to Pine Street. In 1965, Joseph I. (Joe) Joyner became president alongside his wife Annie Thorne Joyner as secretary-treasurer, and on August 1, 1966, the family opened a new facility.

The funeral home remains family-owned and independent with professional staff available 24 hours a day. The facility includes an on-site crematory. Families have the option of live-streaming services on Facebook for those unable to attend in person.

For services held at family homes, Joyner's provides equipment including chairs, door basket, register stand with book, food registry, and other items. The funeral home supplies boutonnieres for pallbearers and assists families with coordination of service details.
