Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home has been family-owned since 1976 when Jerome A. Stefkovich established the business. In January 2021, ownership transferred to his daughter Beth Stefkovich Dunmore, making this a second-generation funeral home serving Avella and the surrounding Washington County area.
Jerry Stefkovich, a 1973 graduate of The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, continues to work alongside Beth as a licensed funeral director. Beth graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2009 and serves as the current owner, supervisor, and funeral director. Both Jerry and Beth hold licenses as Life & Fixed Annuities Agents, allowing them to assist families with insurance and pre-planning matters.
The funeral home provides traditional funeral services, veteran honors, and burial arrangements. Three generations of the Stefkovich family currently live in Avella, maintaining deep roots in the local community.
