Al Jenkins Funeral Home was founded in 1967 by Alphonso Jenkins and his wife Minnie B. Jenkins. The business has remained family-owned through three generations, with their daughter Tanya Perez taking over operations before passing leadership to the current fourth generation — Mercedes Luis, II and Sasha. The funeral home has served Orangeburg and Calhoun counties for over five decades.
The funeral home operates two locations: the main facility on Russell Street in Orangeburg and a second chapel on Midway Road in Elloree. Services include tribute videos that blend family photographs with music and graphics to create memorial presentations.
