The business was purchased by employees Woodson and Dorothy Maddox in 1939, then acquired by William Leland James and James N. Lipford, Jr. in 1970, who expanded operations to include locations in Graceville and Sneads. Christopher Sikes began working at the funeral home in 1997, was named manager, and later purchased the business, maintaining the multi-location operation across Jackson County.
The funeral home has served families in Marianna and the surrounding communities for over nine decades. In addition to standard funeral and cremation arrangements, the firm offers pre-planning services and creates tribute videos for families.
