Honquest founded Honquest Family Funeral Homes in Loves Park in 1995 after completing his degree at Western Illinois University and graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1988. The business expanded with a second location in Roscoe in 2007. Tim currently serves on the Rockford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
The Loves Park facility moved to its current location in 2005. In May 2025, the funeral home installed a new state-of-the-art on-site crematory to provide enhanced service capabilities. The business celebrates its 30th anniversary serving families throughout Winnebago County in 2025.
