Henderson Funeral Home was founded by G.W. Henderson Sr. in 1958 and remains family owned, currently operated by Geneva Henderson and managed by Clara Henderson Burnett and Cedric Burnett. The business is one of the few family-owned funeral homes in DeSoto County. G.W. Henderson Sr. began his career in the funeral industry working as an insurance agent and funeral director for several area funeral homes before establishing his own facility in Hernando's West End neighborhood, later purchasing the Brantley Funeral Chapel on South Panola Street in the early 1970s from James Maxey.
The funeral home serves families in Hernando, Sardis, and Tunica, with additional locations in Sardis and Tunica to serve the broader DeSoto County region.
