About Heath Funeral Home
Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services has served the Moshannon Valley area since 1933, when it was founded by John S. and Virginia E. Heath in Osceola Mills. Their sons, Robert R. and J. Charles Heath, formed a partnership with their father in 1979 and later ran daily operations, with third-generation director R. Joel Heath joining in the 1980s.
Following Joel's death in 2016, Emil Johnson III, a licensed funeral director and supervisor who joined the staff in 1997, became a partner alongside J. Charles Heath. Charles oversees daily operations at the Osceola Mills location, while Emil supervises the affiliated Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg. Charles belongs to the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association, and has served as Clearfield County coroner.
The funeral home draws families from Clearfield County and nearby Curwensville, Houtzdale, Grassflat, Coalport, and Bellwood.
