About Hall Davis and Son Funeral Service
Hall Davis and Son Funeral Service was established in Baton Rouge in 2005 by Hall Davis IV, continuing a family legacy that began in 1954 when his parents Hall Davis III and Elsie Harrington Davis founded Hall's Port Allen Mortuary. The Davis family's involvement in service to the community dates back to the early 1900s in Plaquemine, where Hall Davis II operated the Crystal Ice Company and provided ambulance and transportation services.
The funeral home operates three facilities across the Baton Rouge area, with locations in Baton Rouge, Port Allen, and Plaquemine, all opened between 2005 and 2007. Hall Davis IV runs the business alongside his wife Cecile, a licensed funeral director and registered nurse, with continued family involvement from their children including a physician and attorney.
The Davis family represents multiple generations of licensed funeral service professionals, with both Hall Davis IV and his wife Cecile holding funeral director licenses. Cecile's dual background as both a funeral director and registered nurse brings additional care expertise to the operation.
