John J. Hadley joined the family business as a second-generation funeral director after graduating from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1965. He was licensed in both Ohio and West Virginia and served three terms on Ohio's Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors from 1995 to 2010. John also held certification as a crematory operator and was a pre-need licensed insurance agent.
The funeral home has continued into its third generation with John Robert "Rob" Hadley, who works alongside his father in serving families in Marietta and the surrounding Washington County area. The funeral home maintains a second location in New Matamoras to serve families throughout the region.
John was actively involved in the Masonic community, serving as the 2008 Potentate of Nemesis Shrine Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and was past president of the Marietta Shrine Club in 1977.
