John J. Hadley graduated from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1965 and was a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both Ohio and West Virginia. He represented the second generation of the Hadley family in the business, with his son John Robert "Rob" Hadley now serving as the third-generation funeral director.
John served three terms on the Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors from 1995 to 2010 and was a licensed pre-need insurance agent. The funeral home maintains locations in both Marietta and New Matamoras, serving families throughout Washington County.
John was actively involved in the community through the Masonic Bodies, serving as the 2008 Potentate of Nemesis Shrine Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and as past president of the Marietta Shrine Club in 1977.
