Groveton Funeral Home was established in 1930 as Biscamp Funeral Home by J.E. Biscamp and his wife, who operated the business for 42 years. In 1972, Terry B. Cartwright and his wife purchased the establishment and ran it until 2004, when Cartwright acquired the former Jackson Funeral Home and Waller-Thornton Funeral Home facilities.

The current facility underwent major reconstruction that added a family room and covered parking. The funeral home serves families throughout Trinity County and the surrounding East Texas communities including Trinity, Crockett, Onalaska, and Lufkin.
