Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory traces back to 1960, when Harry A. and Ivaleen Glunt purchased the B.C. Kiehl Funeral Home on Erie Street in Edinboro, a business first established by Bert Kiehl in 1935. Ivaleen Glunt served as Edinboro's sole funeral director until her son Harry D. Glunt earned his license in 1965 and later purchased the business from his parents in 1976, incorporating it in 1995. David T. Glunt joined as a licensed funeral director in 2002, becoming the fourth generation of the family to lead the firm when he was named president in 2005.

In 2014 the funeral home installed its own on-site crematory, allowing cremation services to be handled in-house rather than through an outside provider. Harry D. Glunt also co-founded the Independent Care Group, Inc. in 1999, a network of independent funeral homes that share resources for prearranged funerals and joint purchasing.

The funeral home serves Edinboro and surrounding Erie County communities including Albion, Cambridge Springs, Girard, and Conneaut Lake, offering both traditional funeral arrangements and cremation along with cemetery marker design and memorial stationery.
