Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home — Funeral Home in Iota, LA

Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home was established in January 1934 by Lloyd Geesey and A. M. "Bunny" Ferguson, who traveled from Dallas during the Great Depression and purchased Toler's Funeral Parlor in Crowley. The funeral home is now in its third generation of Geesey family ownership, continuing to serve families in Crowley, Iota, and surrounding Acadia Parish communities.

The business began with Geesey working as an embalmer while Ferguson supervised the manufacturing of burial vaults. Lloyd Geesey was active in the Crowley Chamber of Commerce, Crowley Rotary Club, and Rice Festival during his lifetime. The funeral home operates a monument division that creates headstones, grave markers, and permanent memorials, including vases, single-lot monuments, and side-by-side cemetery lot monuments for families throughout the area.
