About Gate City Funeral Home
Gate City Funeral Home has served Scott County since 1959 as a family-owned business. Founder James Eugene "Gene" Falin began his funeral service career as a teenager under the mentorship of E.H. McConnell, owner of what was then Scott County's only funeral home in the late 1930s and 1940s.
The funeral home features a large chapel and an expansive selection room designed to accommodate families. The facility operates as a full-service establishment with staff trained to handle burial and cremation arrangements, pre-planning programs, and grief support resources for families throughout the funeral and mourning process.
