Established in 1953 when Francis and Edna Rae Frye purchased Hoopes Funeral Home, the business relocated to its current Highway 86 facility in 1964 to accommodate growth. The mortuary is now owned and operated by Sheila Kruger, daughter of the founders, representing three generations of family ownership serving the Imperial Valley.
The business maintains two locations—the original Brawley chapel and a second facility in Imperial. The mortuary operates its own on-site crematory and offers monuments and markers in addition to traditional funeral services.
