About Faith & Family Funeral Services

Faith & Family Funeral Services was founded in 2006 by Jerry and Cindy Sonnier, beginning in a simple metal building before constructing a modern funeral home facility in 2009. Jerry Sonnier started his funeral service career in the 1980s at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, gaining nearly two decades of experience at area funeral homes before opening his own business. The funeral home served families in Hardin and Liberty Counties until 2022, when the Sonniers retired and sold the business to Warren Claybar, joining the Claybar Family of Companies and its 75-year legacy.

The funeral home serves Batson and surrounding Hardin County communities with both burial and cremation services. Staff members assist families in completing forms to obtain burial benefits and memorial items through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs for qualifying veterans, service members, spouses, and dependents.
