Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff

Added to the total cost of the arrangements you select (already included in direct cremation, immediate burial, forwarding and receiving remains, and packages). Includes 24-hour availability; conferring with the family to determine desired services; obtaining, preparing and filing documents (permits, death certificates, pensions, insurance); obituary information to newspapers; coordinating outside providers (clergy, cemetery); pre- and post-funeral counseling; regulatory and licensing compliance; general business administration and record keeping.

Embalming

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary if you select certain arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
