About Donald Trimble Mortuary
Donald Trimble Mortuary was founded in 1983 by the late Donald Trimble and has been family-owned and operated since its inception. Following Donald Trimble's death in 2000, his niece Chedonna Trimble-Holston, a Gupton-Jones College graduate, assumed leadership as President and CEO. The funeral home had worked with her uncle since the business first opened.
The Decatur funeral home performs approximately 750 services annually and maintains facilities on 2nd Avenue. Services include pre-need and pre-arrangement planning, chapel services, an on-staff chaplain, and aftercare counseling programs.
Chedonna Trimble-Holston serves as co-chairperson for the 9th District of the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association. The funeral home holds memberships in the DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce, the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, and 100 Black Women in Funeral Service.
