Dodge Funeral Home — Funeral Home in Middleton, MI

Dodge Funeral Home is part of the Lux Funeral Homes family, which has served Gratiot County since 1980 when Charles R. Lux Sr. and his son Paul purchased the original Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma. The Middleton location was acquired by Paul Lux as part of an expansion that eventually included funeral homes in Riverdale, Carson City, Crystal, Breckenridge, and St. Louis. In 2013, Nicholas and Laura Lux purchased the business from their father, continuing the family's third generation of service.

The Lux family traces its funeral service heritage back to 1937 when William and Agnes Moody opened Moody Funeral Home in downtown Alma. After William Moody's death in 1955, Agnes Moody obtained her funeral director's license and operated the business herself with longtime employee William Wolfel. The family honors this legacy by maintaining the Lux-Moody-Wolfel name at their original Alma location while operating additional funeral homes under the Lux network throughout the region.
